fingernails out of nowhere

a week ago, my fingernails were all short.
today, they're long enought to go past the tip of my finger. i havent really paid attention to it much until today when throwing the football around i caught it a bent a fingernail backwards. OW.
my hair seems to be growing weirdly fast too. anyone else notice this?

OMG I JUST noticed this today!!! Before I read this post I was thinking of posting and mentioning this. My nails are growing faster as is my hair and my nails are rock hard and strong!. All this protein and lovely fat has my hair, skin and nails looking fabulous!!!! Another benefit or Atkins!

same here...and the weirdest thing is my hair stopped turning grey...(atkins should promote that this way of life would change alot of people then giggle) before i was finding new strands everyday now i am like wow i cant find any. I have never had to dye my hair and actually bought hair color 2 weeks ago. i Havent had to use it. My nails are stronger I havent broken one in a month. I think i am going to go get some pretty nail polish today

Oh definitely! Another great aspect of Atkins My nails usually don't grow at all. I'm not a biter, but nobody believes me because they just don't grow, at all!

But the last 2 or 3 weeks my nails have been really long and strong, and I'm wearing nail polish for the first time since I was a kid, playing dress up

oh ratucker, don't tease me so. i've beem getting gray hair since i was fifteen. fifteen! i don't know if it will get rid of the ones i have but maybe it'll stop the rest from joining the trend. i just dyed it two days ago (again) so we'll see what happens in a month or so when its time to do it again!

Yep- my hair is definitely growing faster- this is nice except I have to get it cut more often now-every 6 weeks instead of every 8 weeks+ But I have to sy, I'm enjoying the healthier hair aspect of it- definite shine happening.

I do recall last time around my hair grew like crazy!!! My fingernails are always long so I've never noticed that part. My skin is great too! I don't know if its the water or if its the fat, but my skin is usually very dry...its not now

I was just noticing my nail growth, too. I'm a biter (trying to stop!). It's been like 2 days since I last chewed on my nails and there is a very noticeable white tip now. Faster than I'm used to!
My hair is really long already, so I haven't noticed much of a difference there. I did have a really weird hair experience, though. For a few days last week (Monday to about Thursday or Friday), my hair felt really... waxy. Like plastic. It looked and felt kind of gross. It stopped, thank goodness. Anyone else ever have that happen?

Before Atkins, my fingernails were weak, thin, brittle and they split and peeled all the time. I never could get all ten nails to even get to 1/4 inch all at the same time. Just a gentle hit on anything would break them.

Now, they grow so fast they get on my nerves. They are thick and strong. I do all kinds of things like gardening, woodworking and crafts, and I almost never break a nail. I have to cut them and file them down almost every week. They get so long, I can't put my hand around my dumbbell weights and grip it without puncturing my palm with a my sharp nails!

I hope my hair doesn't grow like crazy LOL! I can tuck it in my pants already.
I have been biting my finger nails lately. I think it's a habit from getting rid of my constant snacking. I'm thinking about going to have them done. That will take care of the problem right away! Can't bite that stuff LOL.

I actually was complimated last week that my skin looked great! I looked fresh was the phrase. I have nioticed today also.my nails are longer!!!..Time I get some nail polish and enjoy them! I'm a nail biter also..so this is a real treat for me!
