  • I was really angry today...

    And for the first time I did something besides storm into the kitchen for some comfort. I was so keyed up that I made a conscious decision to take that adrenaline and anger downstairs and got on my elliptical. I put in a hard 45 minutes and was red in the face for another 40 mins but it was worth it. Making exercise as a choice was kind of a big deal since I would have found chocolate or something worse in the past.

    That's awesome! I often wonder if we burn more calories when angry too.

          Thanks all. I am fine now. I was just having a "China" day. Most days it doesn't bother me but today I was just tired of everything in the house breaking down every two weeks. The joys of living overseas.

                      Congrats! Using exercise instead of food to channel frustration is one of the things that has been absolutely essential for me. The satisfaction you gain from it lasts a LOT longer than chowing down on some junk food and no guilt! That is definitely one of the best steps you can take.

                            It was definitely an AHA moment. And I didn't have to be anywhere right then so I could take that anger right at the moment it hit me and use it. That helped!
