    Hello all I was looking like always at the before and after photos and there is a gentleman there that lost 77 lbs in 51 days with atkins, now I tell you I would be at goal if that was to happen to me, any ideas on how this was done? I read the whole thing and he posted what he likely eats but people keeps asking him how he did it and what he ate...any ideas how this was possible? he has the photos to show it.

    He was almost 350 pounds when he did this. The heavier you are the more you will lose in the beginning. It is a relative thing. And another issue is that guys tend to lose faster than us females. Bummer!!! but that is the way it is. Losing weight is actually quite individual and there will be a pace that is just right for you. Embrace it as yours
    It is good to take some time with the last few pounds because you are going to learn how to sustain the weightloss after your dieting is over. Probably harder for most people than to actually lose it.

      I saw that and thought maybe the date should've been Feb. 2008. Ive seen Atkins success, but never like that! More power to him for losing so much so quickly. I'm in the 350lb range and just started, if I lose half of that in the same time frame I'll be happy! Mind you, any loss is better than a gain and better than not doing anything at all!

        He is a youngish male, and when I read what he eats, it sounded less than healthy to me.

        I weighed almost 300 pounds and was a 55-year-old female and I lost 50 pounds in three months and 102 pounds in 10 months, doing Atkins by the book. That means my food, water and exercise were all by the book. Next to no Frankenfoods. Almost all fresh or frozen whole foods. No cheat days, staying on program through the holidays.

        If you lose weight at a slower pace, your skin won't sag as bad. It takes time for skin to shrink back to fit after you are over 300 pounds.
        People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
