  • Other women at work...

wow. ok so a co-worker was having a bridal shower at work today and I went to it...she had a FABULOUS looking cake (seriously cool) - it was a shoebox with an AWESOME fondot shoe on top and a purse/clutch next to the cake (this woman is a very girly-girl type of person)...

anyways - so once the cake was given out (don't worry, I politely declined) - there was a table behind me of about 4 women in their 30's/40's all talking about "yeah - this was weigh in week (at weight watchers) and we all gained - so it doesn't matter!!!!! let's all eat cake!"

wow. just wow. I wanted to ask - "why are you even wasting your money then?"

I didn't say anything - I was very polite and just sat there with my company but just wow. ya know?

Unfortunately giving up when the going gets tough is the weight loss mentality for most people. I know for me, losing weight was close to impossible on traditional diets because all I could think about was food. I hope those women find something that works for them. It took me far too long to find and stick to Atkins.
