Re: Is Ranch Dressing okay during Induct?
Yes! There are probably better choices but that's the only dressing I'm into!! In fact, when you posted I was eating a salad with ranch dressing! Sorry for the delay. It was good. CAREFULLY read the ingredients. I find Hidden Valley Ranch won't stall me but Wish Bone brand has high fructose corn syrup. Stay VERY FAR AWAY from that!! Always read the labels. That's where the whole story is! I'm doing a re-induction for a few days and ranch is on the menu!

Re: Is Ranch Dressing okay during Induct?
Ok i read the label, i have hidden valley ranch.
It says 1 g sugar what does this mean ?
Like for instance i bought some fresh cut green beans nothing added to them and they say 2g sugar.
This is really confusing to me! how do sugars get into veggies and such ?
So anyways My hidden valley says 1g sugar per serving. Are you sure its okay during induction ?
I Just dont want to start and have sugar slipping in that could spoil my attempt at induction.
Thanks.
Take care

That is sugar naturally occurring in foods. That's where the net carbohydrates in, let's say, cheese come from. What you have to stay away from is added sugar. To figure out whether any food is "legal" or not, you have to read the list of ingredients. If all the ingredients are "legal" for the phase of Atkins you're in, then the food item is also "legal".Originally posted by Ted221 View PostLike for instance i bought some fresh cut green beans nothing added to them and they say 2g sugar.

Re: Is Ranch Dressing okay during Induct?
Hidden Valley Ranch is my absolute favorite; in fact it is all I usually put on my salads. Had a salad for lunch with ranch today. In 2003 when I did induction - no problem. In 2009 doing induction - no problem!
I take skinless, boneless chicken breasts or tenders and coat them with ranch and then parmesan cheese, then bake in the oven and top with crispy bacon and cheddar cheese. Amazing dinner!!!
