hi guys. on alot of food items, tha packaging states the total carbs per 100 grams. but sometimes it may have the total carbs and in brackets 'of which sugars'. for example paxo stuffing. total carbs 30 grams (of which 0.4 grams sugars) so which one do i follow for atkins, the one which has the sugar content or the full amount? its all so confusing.

Re: UK carb question
Yep, go by the carb count and don't deduct fibre. In the US, their labels are different and they need to subtract fibre from carbs to arrive at the net carb figure. I the UK, the carb count on the label is the net carb figure.

Re: UK carb question
It was quite a shock to me when I realised that the carbs on the UK labels were in net carbs - I thought I was being such a good little camper. Fortunately this was on the first week of induction and I adjusted pretty damn quick after that.

Re: UK carb question
Hi there - just asking - Were you just using paxo stuffing just as an example? I don't have a packet to check, but I'm pretty certain that it is breadcrumbs - definitely not allowed on induction!Originally posted by jimlfixit View Posthi guys. on alot of food items, tha packaging states the total carbs per 100 grams. but sometimes it may have the total carbs and in brackets 'of which sugars'. for example paxo stuffing. total carbs 30 grams (of which 0.4 grams sugars) so which one do i follow for atkins, the one which has the sugar content or the full amount? its all so confusing.
