Re: KetoStix
You are either burning body fat or dietary fat.You could be zero carb and eat an enormous amount of fat, show huge amounts of ketones, but doubtful if you would gain much if any.Add many carbs to the equation and you will balloon up quick.Been there.Ketosticks are fun to watch but your clothes are your best indicator how the diet is going.I have keto adapted and now my ketosticks are negative.I attribuite that to 13 weeks of induction with no cheating.Just eat fat, carefully count your carbs and you can't go wrong.

Re: KetoStix
If your ketostix is purple you are in ketosis. That means your body is burning fat cells. As long as you stay in ketosis your body will continue to burn fat and you will lose weight. How much depends on what you eat, how many carbs and the ratio of carbs/fat/protein that you eat. If you eat too many carbs, too much protein, or too many calories you will lose slower... but you should still lose...

Re: KetoStix
You can be in ketosis and not lose weight. If you eat really high fat and way too much, you will be in deep ketosis but taking in too many calories to lose weight.
Also, eating high dietary fat can show as ketones on the stix.
All that aside, if you are not way over eating, you are probably buring body fat and you will lose.
Those stix are not very reliable. I lost close to 100 pounds before throwing mine in the trash because they rarely showed even a trace, but I know I was in ketosis and losing huge amounts of fat.People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
