Why are processed low carb foods called frankenfoods??? Where did this term come from???

because they're made up of non-natural ingredients (which you usually can't prounouce) basically modified foods made to taste like other foods. Well that's how i look at them.

Like Frankenstein... not real 'natural' foods, but foods put together by a crazy scientist in a lab.
