i've been on induction for 3 days shy of two weeks now and havnt lost any
weight in fact i gained 2lbs. i guess i should start this by telling you the whole story.
Right from the get go doing this diet is a up hill battle for me because i'm on liquid methadone for pain because of a bad car wreck i was in that left me with a broken pelvis.i still have one more surgery before i should be back to "normal".the methadone dose i take daily has a total of 20 grams worth of
sugar alcohol '20 carbs"....but everyone ive talked to about it has said to ignore the carbs from the methadone and do the diet the same way anybody else would do.With that said a week before i started induction i was getting my body and mind used to not getting a lot of carbs by doing the rules of induction but not keeping track of anything.I was 250lbs when i started doing that and some how when i weighed myself before i started the real induction i found i had lost 10lbs.so i thought wow when i do this diet the right way im going to lose all kinds of weight...but that didnt happen.so anyway i started the induction phase on monday(4-13)
When i got ketostix on tues or weds it was as dark as it could be.so i was in ketosis by no later than weds. The first week i lost one pound.which was a little discouraging but i stuck with the diet.On tuesday of the second week when i weighed myself i had gained 2lbs.So as of today i weigh 241.
I bought the pc version of fitday and used it everyday to keep track of everything and according to fitday i never went over 20 carbs in a givin day. my ratios were always around 65%fat 5%carbs 25%protein.
So at this point i dont know what to do. the only thing i can think of that is stalling my weight loss is the carbs from the methadone.
If somebody knows anything that can help me or just want to comment on my situation please feel free to reply to this thread.
i am totally at a lost here and i dont want to give up so PLEASE HELP.
thank-you
love&peace
