Re: What do you think this could be??

I'm so glad you're OK! Did you ask the doctor if there is any exercise you can do? Sometimes swimming or cycling are OK when walking/running aren't. (check with your doc) I have problems with my feet, but can swim & cycle alot without pain.

Naaaah, I'm not going to stop with the challenge! It's awfully tempting but I think that's why I need to stay with it! I've got a weight bench, a rowing machine, a Wii Fit....there are several things I can try to focus on. I have an abs exerciser that I completely ignore!! My butt is suffering from lack of tone, I'm pretty sure lunges and squats are low impact. He said I'll know what I can and can't do based on what my ankle feels like and how it looks. I'm really going to have to sit down and make a plan for changing what I do because I have become quite fond and dependent of/on this routine. Who knows though? Maybe it'll be a good change and I'll get better results than expected.

Sunny_One, the creamy alfredo sauce was AWESOME!!!! I actually put the spaghetti squash in the oven and it wasn't ready by the time the sauce was done. I know it should have all gone together BUT if you knew how late it was and how little I had to eat today, you'd know why I caved and threw shrimp in a bowl and just topped it with the sauce. I'm looking forward to lots of leftovers too!! It was delicious! Thanks for the guidance on that, Mama Bear!! You and Carole are my great food gurus!! I really appreciate it! After the day I had, that was the ultimate legal comfort food!!

What a relief to know that you have been diagnosed and are beginning on the road to recovery

i've had tendonitis in both my ankles and my left knee and its always painful but i've never had swelling. in fact the only time i ever had swelling in my ankle was after i broke it. did they explain why tendonitis would cause swelling that bad with no initial pain, and if it is, why it didnt cause pain until after it had already been swollen for a while? call me suspicious but i've had a doctor try to take out my appendix when i had a stomach ulcer lol so i always get second opinions.

I went to the Urgent Care Center to avoid the people coming into the emergency room clutching their hearts and ensuring I'd be there until midnight!! Anyway, the doctor said no more of this.... I have tendonitis in my foot/lower leg. I have to stay off of it, elevate it, use heat treatments and anti-inflammatories and pain meds. My copay was only $25 so that alone was worth the pain meds LOL! I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with the 6WEC. This sucks! Unfortunately, my workouts just got easier but that means some tweaking for foods, I imagine. I'm going to sit here for awhile and keep it elevated as I have been standing/walking and the nurse wrapped the ace bandage waaaaay too tight. I'll catch up with the posts and relax and THEN I'm going to the kitchen to cook my first spaghetti squash to use for "noodles" and throw that together with some creamy alfredo sauce and shrimp. I'm soooo hungry!
HEY YOU!!!!!!!!!!! i'm sorry i haven't been on the boards lately! i'm SOOO happy you found out what was wrong!! I'm sorry though that you're going through that - really hope it gets better!!

So glad you loved the alfredo sauce. It IS a GREAT comfort food, isn't it?

That's another one of DH's favorite dishes, and he isn't even on Atkins!

I'm sorry I missed your reply Keriann! Thanks for your well wishes. It's getting better and I don't see the need to baby it too much. I've been doing power walking and really just pushing myself. I'm calming that down a bit and seeing what happens. I have lost one pound since Easter and it freaks me out to do any less than what I have been, but you never know, switching things up may be exactly what I need.

Yes, Sunny_One, the sauce is WONDERFUL! Enjoyed it again tonight!
