  • Anyone work night shift?

Hi Everyone...I am on induction...one week down and I'm wondering if anyone else works night shift. I have been doing good with the carbs but I dont want to eat too much. I only work 3 nights a week so I am flip floping back to eating on days or nights. Any suggustions? I will eat all during the day then I go to work and since I am awake I want to eat at night. Is this ok as long as it is low carb? And how do I count the carbs? From midnight to midnight? Thanks!

        Re: Anyone work night shift?

I work night also. It was tuff at first. I work the 7p-7a shift. I eat my breakfast around 8a than when I wake up around 3p I eat my lunch. I have a snack around 6:30p than eat my supper around 11-12 that night.
If you get the munchie after 12 at night do something to keep you busy so you don't eat. Sometimes I go for a walk around the hallways. Or I do a little cleaning around the desk or do some organizing.

Say I work off in the morning, as soon as I get home I eat breakfast than sleep until noon and than have lunch. Than of course have snack around 3 or 4. My supper usually is around 7p.

Once you have been on induction for a while you will start to lose your appetite and not want to eat (munch) at night.

Right now we have a contest going on at work call Biggest Loser. There is 11 co-workers doing it. We are doing it for 12 weeks. Final weigh in is July 1st. Biggest % loss win the money. That helps when everyone is trying to lose weigh. We help each other out. Maybe let your co-workers know you are changing to a healthier lifestyle and needing to lose some weigh and ask for help.

Hope you figure out a good plan for night shift.

I count my carbs from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed, regardless of what the hours of the day are...
