    I cannot bring myself to eat these days... Everything I eat gets stuck in my throat and I cannot get it down because it is so disgusting and I am repulsed.
    I always eat breakfast, but lately I haven't eaten anything else. I'm still exercising, but since I am in starvation mode I'm not losing any weight.

    I don't know, but I hate eating. I hate it. I'm never hungry, and to continue my weight loss I must eat but I can't! It's physically challenging!

    I think I'm bored with food. I'm afraid to move on to OWL. I did it this Christmas, and I gained 9 lbs which have been stuck on me for four months.
    I am not stalled, I keep gaining.

    You'll have to eat snacks throughout the day, if you cannot handle 3 meals.

    As for moving onto OWL, if the variety of food you are eating now is boring you. OWL is the reasonable move. You have to be disciplined when you move on.

    Re-read the OWL Chapters and the OWL forum stickies. The folks who fall off during OWL are typically the ones who don't follow the Rules of OWL---following the rungs of the carb ladder, adding only 5 net carbs of one food 3 times a week for one week to see how that food affects you, dropping foods that adversely affect weight loss, increasing the carbs by only 5 net carbs, etc. Try it again and follow it carefully.

      Honey, it's really not good to "hate" something so maybe find out if it's the foods you are choosing.

      Maybe in a previous life you lived somewhere else and are REALLY used to a different type of food from another ethnic background? Maybe you should try Mexican type foods with more spice? Or maybe French with all the butter and cream over everything? Or what about a mediterranian (sp) diet with pickled artichoke hearts, chicken, and cucumber salad with vinegar and olive oil?

      Last but no least, ask yourself "why" you hate eating. Do you think because you eat you will gain weight? Actually, when you eat less than what you are suppose to you will either 1) whither away, cheat your body of nutrients, and die of a heart attack, or 2) you body will go into starvation mode and save every last fat cell. Neither of these is the best for YOU.

      Learning how to eat properly and exercise is the best way. It sometimes takes a long time...read the posts of those who have succeeded here...but it's worth it. It's not easy but you will live long enough to enjoy your life and the thousands of different kinds of foods in this world!

        Honey, have you ever had an eating disorder? Your symptoms almost sound like an eating disorder. I'm not trying to scare you or embarrass you. Sorry if I come off sounding mean. I'm worried about you.

          Thanks for the help, guys.. I need to figure this situation out.

          I've never had an eating disorder, though, and I really don't want one now... But I am well aware of this, so I guess I'll have to force myself to eat...

            I feel the same way sometimes. I have no desire to eat. I do force myself most of the time but not always. everything I can think of to eat sounds disgusting. your not alone..
