  • What are we thankful for?

Hello and HAPPY DAY TO EVERYONE! hugs and kisses!

I was making my lunch today and thought to myself, "I am SO very thankful for my half avacado today!"

I am in induction and am thankfully allowed to have 1/2 avacado....what phase are you in and what are you thankful you can eat on your phase or rung?

We are so very blessed to be able to eat such a variety! Thank you, Dear Dr. Atkins! (...tears welling up....)
    Crawling still gets you there!

The very occasional cheesecake-like dish. I loves my cheesecake. LOVES it!

I made everyone's tummies happy at Easter with a jello cheesecake recipe found at Linda's site. Yummmers!

Hey, Allie...do you like meat? Tee hee. Have you every had roasted leg of lamb? I am Greek so my mother makes it every Easter! If you want I can give you her recipe for a great soup to make from the juices.

Filet mignon with melted bleu cheese on top is my fave. And there's a restaurant here that serves filet mignon with lump crab meat on top!

I'm thankful for what I don't want to eat anymore....refined sugars, starches, pop. I never thought I'd be able to not only give those things up, but I know I'll never eat that crap again.

Ditto - I am very happy with the knowledge that I will neither eat nor CRAVE another doughnut, carton of ice cream, or french fry ever AGAIN!

I am very satisfied with my mock danish, sauteed mushrooms, and bottles of water. Not to mention the meat of course :joy

Thankful that food is a wonderful nutritional part of my life, but it's not the crutch that it used to be. I mean, I totally enjoy eating, and I'm very happy with the foods that I eat, but I don't obsess about it and I don't hear it 'calling' me like I did just over a year ago.
