  • Lovely walk in the park

I just want to put out there that I am so happy to be doing this!!

I have lost 12.5 lbs in 22 days.

I am now a believer about exercise melting off the fat....It DOES! I thought yea right, because I have been exercising regularly for over a year, but I amped up my movement and am getting results...

Yesterday I had a great day. Walked thru a hilly park - was huffn' and puffn 1/2 of the time but it was so worth it....I woke up this morning 1.5 lbs down....Yippie!

I just got a bunch of new exercise tapes that hopefully will help me up it just a bit more! I am excited.

I wanted to share some pictures I took in the park but I do not see an attachment or photobucket option. Can someone walk explain how to do this??

Re: Lovely walk in the park

I get the same kind of drop after a good workout. But now that I am older, I have found that I MUST workout to lose anything. The joys of perimenopause. (smirk)

I love hiking and being out doors makes you feel so good. Glad you are finding it the same. Switching up your exercise to do different things also keeps you losing. If you do the same thing day after day your body adjusts and you don't lose as quickly.

Thanks for that Chinadoll....I can relate to perimenopause, just recently started taking bioidenticals...feeling better on them.

I am biking, walking, occasional novice hiking and I just started doing some really good workout at home cd's as well as my mon/wed/fri class I teach. I am hoping that's a mix up enough!!! I must say, I am feeling energetic these days. I worked out 2x today! Have not done that in years.

Hey it looks like you are 1/3rd away from your goal...RIGHT ON!!

Wow, yes I would say you are mixing it up well enough. I am two pounds away from the halfway mark from my all time high, and closer to a thir of the way this time around.

I definitely have more energy too. I do elliptical for 45 mins 2x a week, lift weights 2x a week, pilates 2-3 times a week, and walk 4-5 miles about 3 times a week and do water aerobics 4 times each week. Keeps my body guessing.

China doll, looks like you are really mixing it up too! Are you digging the water aerobics? Do you feel like you are getting a good workout with that?

Thanks Fwl...that was easy. Here's the pics...that's me cruising down the hill. All pics here show downhill, it definetly was not!! Lots of up hill.

This park is just a few minutes from where I live. I never would have gotten out of bed on a Sunday to walk hills with a hangover!! I am so grateful to be sober, alive and melting fat!

Re: Lovely walk in the park

I know its really kinda cool. I am on the windward side of Oahu....but it's not like those kind of paved walking parks are all over the place...this is a special place.

I have wasted so much of my life in depression, I just never did anything about it except make it worse by drinking. Those days are over. Time to live.

Re: Lovely walk in the park

Its humid from around Jun to December, but not east coast humid.

Hey someone here had a terrific coconut oil recipe that I tried and OMG....Delishioso!!! I mixed the coco with with a little xilitol and oil, and then cut into squares after it hardened in the frig!!! A perfect little fatty snack!!!

                      Keriann,
Trust me I would love to visit Indiana! Or anywhere else on the mainland....sometimes I get big time "rock fever". I have been off the island maybe 7 times in the past 27 years!
