Need some cooking help... I read the book

Okay I finished the book today and am in the recipe section... NOW I am not a chef nor do I pretend to be so I need some serious help. Anyone know of a cooking book or something else in written form that will explain things to me... online won't work... I don't have internet at home.... The recipe says you need to use fresh garlic.... one of the recipes calls for you to take off the outside and bake it... it gives the portion size (I can't remember it right now) and I need to know is that the 2 whole garlic bunches or 2 little slices?? a 1/2 cup, 1 teaspoon I got but anything past that and I need HELP I'd LOVE to make some of those dishes but won't even attempt it if I can't figure it out.... any help here??

    Thanks.

If you don't have access to internet at home, then you'll have to do it the old fashioned way! TV cooking shows (Rachael Ray is good) or (gasp!) the library (now, that's dating myself, isn't it!) You're doing good! Hang in there.

LOL that's why I was asking for a book... I have three kids at home 2 4 year old and a 2 year old if it isn't cartoons I don't get to watch it

If there is a website maybe I could print the stuff at work.. :hiding:

No need to hide ! We all started some where! I remember when my daughters wanted to learn to cook, my husband rebelled! He said he barely lived through MY learning LOL!

You can usually find what you need at about.com - here's a link that should get you started!
