anyone take this, either in powder or pill? i recently got this book "living the low carb life" by jonny bowden and it has a section that talks about various supplements and vitamins, glutamine being one of them. sugar craving buster sounds magical...anyone have experience with it?

check our vitanutriants and supplements forum. It should have a topic ther4. Some folk swear by it and others say they got no help. if your diet is deficient in that amino acid then a supplement will assist you but check the foods you are eating first to see if you are getting enough before you waste your money.

ana-how much do you take...and have you used the powder or pill form? i've heard things about weight gain associated with it..what's your experience?Starting Weight: 190 (2005)
Goal Weight: 140 (met goal summer 06)
Current Weight: refuse to get on the scale but all my clothes don't fit

in my copy of dandr page 136 it says:
if you have sugar cravings you should take 500 mg 1-2 tablets prior to each meal. this should help your transition to low carb eating if you previously ate a lot of carbs ( pre-Atkins).
so because I never follow directions (duh I even read this several times :anger)
I was taking 1 tablet in the morning before breakfast and then one at night if I felt the cravings comming back.
I have 500mg capsules.
I haven't noticed any wieght gain from these but I don't take them on a daily basis. only when I am struggling with cravings. Hth
