  • I'm stuck I think.

    Hi, Everyone!
    I been on the extended induction for 3 weeks and lost 8-10 pounds in the first 2 weeks then the weight lose stopped. 5 days ago aunt flo came to visit now I've gained 4 pounds. I have not gone over 20 carbs. This is my second time around I lost 60 pounds last time with no problems. I work out lifting weights and use my eliptical. Oh and I'm not really having bowel movements even with the flax seeds I've added to my diet. Could I be holding 10 pounds of you know what and water? If anyone has any ideas. I would love to hear them. I'll try some laci le beau's tea then maybe I can goooooooo!

    how much water do you drink daily? you need to drink AT LEAST 64 ounces of pure water (coffee, tea, kool-aid, crystal light doesn't count).....if you aren't having bowel movements part of it could be because you are putting less junk into your system less junk is coming out...OR you could be holding it because you aren't drinking enough water and can't flush it out.

    Many people go through a Post Induction Stall Syndrome (PISS) which could be your problem. Move on to OWL Rung 1 and add 5 additional net veggie carbs daily - many people find that gets them loosing again.

    You can also post your menus on the Rate My Menu area - the mods and others will look over what you are eating to see if you are getting enough or too much of something.

      I drink over a hundred ounces of pure water a day. The tea just dehydrated me and kept me up all night. As far as my eating. I'm eating the same exact things and amounts from my first week of induction. I've been using my bowflex at home. I've been strength training I can feel the muscles building. Could that be the extra weight? Plus the unable to use the b-room thing. Thanks Friends!

        Well, I was able to go to the b-room 2 times this morning and I've lost 5 pounds. So maybe that was the problem and I've rehydrated after last nights tea. This is such an awesome website. After reading through the forums and reading some of the wonderful peoples stories and to see how far these wonderful men and women have come. Even if they are just starting and have lost 10# or have been on it for a while and lost 80# or more. It is an inspiration. Bless all of you! You give me Inspiration to keep going, inspiration to be healthy. Thank you!!!!!

          Glad you got that whoosh. Sometimes thing happens like that.

          Also don't be afraid to experiment adding more veggie carbs. You just may be needing some for the body to let go of the fat.
