    Welcome to ADBB, Stefany!

Well, if you drank 1 liter of water and ate some food, then you will weigh more. Listen to what Dr. Atkins wrote and don't weigh yourself more than once a week during Induction. When you do weigh, do it in the morning, so that you only weigh yourself and not the stuff you ate/drank.

Check the "Before and After Pics" forum for some inspiration and to convince yourself that Atkins works: Before And After Pics - Atkins Diet

And read Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution (2002 ed.) too, because there it's explained why and how Atkins works.

Do not weigh yourself more than once a day, and actually, once a week is adequate. I understand the feeling of wanting to weigh constantly though, I really do!

And Atkins really works, if you follow the rules Welcome!

Good luck Stefany! Welcome. Atkins works darlin. stay off the scale. I wanted to weigh all the time too! I still do. I make sure I don't get on that scale more than once a week. And measure. i know you may not want to, but after 2 weeks of this, you will be amazed at what you've shed. Trust me. Drink lots and lots of water. It's a very importany key to weight loss.
Tell me how you have done.

          Re: I'm new!!!!

Stefany I'm convinced that Atkins WOE works. I have always had a hard time losing weight and this is the best I've ever done on any "diet", even though I have only ever drank water...no alcohol or juices....and I used to do a daily hill climb, then treadmill jogging and body sculpting workouts. I just could not lose the weight and would mostly stay the same. I would then get discouraged and stop exercising and as soon as I did that I would just gain weight instantly it seemed. Now I feel so much better doing this.

I know its easy to get discouraged...I tried before and didnt complete a clean induction, but this time I did and lost almost 11 pounds and quite a bit off my waist (I have to keep looking at my belly each time I pass a mirror just to convince myself I am not dreaming and just this morning I bathed and put on an underwear that fitted too tight just a few weeks ago...its okay not (sorry if thats TMI).

I am trying my best to go through the rungs as prescribed and I anxiously await the great results I see others having on this WOE. The before and after pics are a real inspiration. They motivate me and I think they will do the same for you too.

woohoo! you are on your way down the scales
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
