    What over the counter laxatives can you take?

    Are you taking flax or psyllium husk as recommended in the book? Drinking LOTS of water (this helps ALOT)?

      It is not advisable to take laxatives on Atkins. If you have problems with constipation, use flaxseed meal, psyllium husks or wheat bran, as explained in the book. If everything fails, try a stool softener.

          I have used glycerine suppositories a few times.

          Make sure you stay near the bathroom after inserting though
