  • PLEASE wish me luck!

    Well, we are back from the store and we have TONS of Induction friendly stuff! I about laughed when the people behind us in the check-out looked at all of our MEAT, eggs & cheese ETC in horror and said "I sure hope you are having a really BIG family BBQ or something!" We smiled back and said "nope, we are going to do Atkins!" They looked even more horrified and said "oh God, good luck!" with sarcasm so thick you could cut it with a very dull knife!

    Anyway, in the morning we will officially join you all on the journey to take back our health and be happy & healthier! Please, if you would be so kind, wish us luck and say a prayer for strength and PATIENCE... we have such a long way to go. To make it worse, my distant cousin is getting married in THREE weeks (wasn't going to go, but got badgered into it) ..... great, now I have to find something to wear to a wedding! My usual T-shirts and shorts aren't going to cut it! UGH!!!!!

      Thanks, we have been reading the book and reading tons of info on here! We hope to do this the RIGHT way! You are all so helpful!

          Awesome, no more ham! Good luck with it, and stay in touch.
          What I do:
          Elliptical gym machine 1 hr Tue-Sun
          At 320, switch to cycling on my Trek 500
          2 filtered containers water/day
          Daily salads/veggies


          Goals:

          Stop needing High Blood Pressure meds - DONE!
          Workout in a XXXL shirt
          - DONE!
          Workout in a XXL shirt
          Workout in a XL shirt
          270 on the scales

            I won't look at ham again the same for a VERY long time!!! I am sooo bloated from all of that salt! I can't seem to drink enough water!!! LOL Ham, BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                My grocery cart looks so much different now that it did before..no junk and all fresh stuff! It makes me proud!

                  If you tell people you are on a 'low carb diet' they might not look so horrified...

                    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                        Thanks! Its day 2, so far so good.

                        That HARDEST thing about this so far, is waiting for the 2 weeks, so that we can see how much progress we have had!!!
