  • Fiber options for people outside the US?

I searched for "fiber" and also took a look in the International sub-forum, but no luck.

I'm in South Korea and looking for some kind of fiber supplement (as *ahem* "irregularity" was one of my biggest reasons for dropping this WoE). No access to psyllium husks or flaxseed and nothing that looks like Beneful or similar.

Does anyone have any other natural solutions? (Besides drinking hot water, which doesn't work past day 3-4 for me...) Am planning on eating as much celery as allowed, but other suggestions would be most welcome.

    Thanks!

You should have some sort of laxative herb tea products there... one would assume?

      Hi there

Avocados are a great source of cellulose (fiber). One avocado (the whole thing) has 6 grams of carbs but it has 18 grams of fiber.

If you can get the Hass variety, it has only ONE gram of carbs (per fruit) and it has 12g of fiber.

It is also rich in fat, which also helps you stay in ketosys.

If you manage to eat one of these at night, every other day, you'll have no problems "taking out the trash" every morning

msanjelpie~ Teas are a great idea, it's just the problem of figuring out what's actually in them (as I have food allergies as well)

joesabido~ I know that celery is also a good "mover" as well. Good idea to eat them at night...

        Thanks, all!

Just don't forget that avocados are limited to 1/2 per day during Induction.

Can you get linseed over there - that is what flax is called in UK and Australia.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Lizellen, so far it doesn't seem readily available, but I haven't really exhausted all my search options.
I mean to go check out the "black market" around here to see if there's any available. I'm dedicated, I tell ya.
