  • Hidding the SCALE!!!!!

I have been doing good this week, but I can't stop stepping on the scale, it's like watching the clock, you can never see the arms move.
So in order for me not to get discourage I have to remove it from my bathroom and have my son hide it and bring it out every Monday morning.
I have not had an appetite these last few days I have to force myself to eat. Thanks for all your support, keep you updated.

That's exactly what I did. My wife gives me the scale once a week, on Saturday morning. Once I got it out of the bathroom for a week or so, the craving to step on it went a-weigh.

I'm becoming addicted to mine as well. Unfortunately, it has to stay out since DH will be starting Atkins tomorrow.

Good idea! I used to weight myself everyday but it became so frustrating because there are so many flucuations (sp?) from day to day. Often times the scale would say two pounds less one day, then 4 pounds more the next, then 6 pounds less.

Another thing that helps is always weighing yourself at the same time, in the same condition. First thing in the morning is usually good because you have not yet ingested anything to throw off your weight by a pound or two. I usually wait till I do number 2 though so I'm a little lighter :P

I measure every other day, because if I see that I didn't lose anything, I'll be miffed enough to workout an extra hour. That's just me though.
          What I do:
Elliptical gym machine 1 hr Tue-Sun
At 320, switch to cycling on my Trek 500
          2 filtered containers water/day
          Daily salads/veggies

          Goals:

Stop needing High Blood Pressure meds - DONE!
          Workout in a XXXL shirt
          - DONE!
          Workout in a XXL shirt
          Workout in a XL shirt
          270 on the scales

I'm going to measure myself Sunday. Some jeans that I wear gives me a muffin top and some don't. Good idea to measure I rather loose more inches any day.
            Thanks.

                Hi there,

I hid mine the first time around. Not anymore ;-)
By weighing everyday, sometimes you gain some grams. And even 50 grams upsets me and gives my whole day a negative outlook. Therefore I weigh myself only once a week. I do it on saturday, it gives me a booster to stay on track on the weekend.

                  Re: Hidding the SCALE!!!!!

Same here, my boyfriend has hidden the scale! No idea where it is!! I'm "allowed" it every Monday....But you know what? I don't miss the daily measuring, Its so frustrating when you go up a few pounds naturally and then down again the next day..plus it would put me in such a bad mood for the whole day it wasn't worth it.

Hide the scales, stick to the diet and when you weigh in the delight at losing all the pounds is awsome!
