Helloo...new to Atkins...about 4 days now. I have had gastro-intestinal issues, diagnosed with GERD or commonly called Acid Reflux. I was upped to having to take 2 Nexium a day, but stopped when I started induction...not on purpose...just merely forgot as I was trying to figure out how to eat. So far I haven't needed the nexium and have had no issues. I truly hope this is a lasting effect...anybody know of this being a benefit?

Acid Reflux as in things like heart burn? ya this is one of the many many great effects of the Atkins diet
the list of benefits and illnesses the Atkins diet cures is far too big for me to remmber xD -

It was Tums Ultra for me EVERY DAY and NIGHT!! My father took them his entire life and my siblings take them also. I don't even know where mine are now! Haven't needed them since around Christmas! Congrats on suffering from this horrid effect of this WOE!! I'm really happy for you!Comment

I was a Tums girl, too. My heartburn is gone on atkins. If I cheat, it comes right back.Susan

Second mini-goal: 170 lbs. met 11/8/2008
Third mini goal: 160 lbs. (which was my postpartum weight with my second baby)
Fourth mini goal: 150 lbs.
Ultimate goal: 140 lbs
