This is my first time using Atkins. I must first say that the first three days were AWFUL. I really craved sugar! I stumbled on your site just as I was running out of ideas and sick of the same old food - THANKS! I found a recipe on another site, sheilas sugar free for mock pumpking cheesecake. I totaled the carbs by lable and it turned out quite high, but I was careful what I ate that day and used many of my allotted 20 carbs on this "treat". I made the treat and tasted it...not bad. As I was spooning my third mouthful in I noticed with alarm that Splenda has a small spot on this bag that indicates this is a 1/2 splenda mix and 1/2 SUGAR mix! I was so upset. I was in small ketosis by checking the strips, had just beating the horrible carb cravings and now I screwed it up! AND the bag was over $7 bucks! Be careful when buying or using splenda - don't make my mistake. What will this do to my ketosis?

chinanurse, I opt for the liquid Splenda. It is amazing how much 1 tiny drop can sweeten something, and there are no fillers. Here is the site that I use: www.sweetzfree.com.

Great before and after pics! I took a few pics of me when I was thinner and put one in my purse and one on the fridge. I force myself to look at it EVERY time I am tempted - It works without any effort most of the time! CONGRATULATIONS you look great. As a nurse my first thoughts were all of the health benefits and how many years you have added to your life, and not just years you will be alive, but years that you can enjoy and live to the fullest!
