I am so very happy with DH and I today! We went to a festival where there was music and TONS & TONS of yummy carnival food & frozen drinks. Normally, we would have been in HOG HEAVEN and pigged out!
Well, it took us a long time before we were able to find a vendor with something that we could eat, which was a bunless plain beef hotdog. It wasn't all that great, especially when we were seeing food everywhere we really wanted to have instead. Not to mention all over the place were people handing out free bags of potato chips, Mexican food samples (MY FAVORITE FOOD!) etc, we turned everything down and ate our hotdog with great hopes of weight loss and health.
We did almost give in to temptation about having a corn dog and splitting an elephant ear, maybe splitting a frozen alcohol drink. We even stood in line! But, we both looked at each other just before it was our turn to order and we were both thinking the same thing, because we both left the line with out saying a word! We agreed that we don't want to be FAT anymore and this food was just evil temptation that we needed to walk away from. So, we kept walking right by all the food, the cotton candy, candy apples, pizza ETC!

Not only do we deserve GOLD STARS for the fact we stayed strong in the face of evil, but we also walked about 4 miles today!!!! It was a mile and a half to and from our car, plus about a mile at the festival! I am so proud of us! Tonight after dinner, (fried chicken in butter) we are going walking some more! We want to lose a lot of weight, actually, we need to lose a lot quickly, neither one of us has appropriate wedding clothes (my cousins wedding), so we are hoping to buy something in a store... probably dreaming big, but we got 3 weeks! Miracles can happen, so they say!

I didn't think we were going to be able to maintain, we didn't plan to end up there today actually. So, there was no planning ahead and we were both staving because it was lunch time. We so easily could have slipped, we were right there! I never imagined we would have the strength, but we did!
... and I'm a carboholic

The "funky breath/pee" should be there, because you have to eliminate acetone (a type of ketone) as it cannot be used for fuel; but how bad the ketone breath/pee is also an individual thing. Two ketosis symptoms you should experience are decreased appetite and thirst.

Sounds like you did great!
