What is the deal with cheese?
I LOVE cheese, so much I would marry cheese if it was legal...
Anyway, I just seen in another post that Colby-jack isn't allowed on Induction... can someone please tell me why? Its cheese... I thought all cheeses were allowed?
I am trying to cut back on my cheese consumption, but I really look forward to cheese, especially since I am not really a meat eater (I am a carboholic and lived on CARBS with a tiny bit of meat) to begin with, the cheese makes it all more palatable. I seriously eat cheese 3-4 times a day, even before Atkins, now I eat it more though. The cheese chips are my life saver!!
This morning the thought of bacon and eggs (again) or left over chicken just made my stomach bubble with nausea, so I had 2 string cheese sticks instead.
Maybe this is why I am not in Ketosis on day 3?

), because it has a high casein concentration. This casein is broken down by some enzymes into casomorphins (opiates), which have a morphin-like effect... hence the addiction.
