  • Okay...so it's my turn now

    I'm nearly 3 weeks into an extended induction and have lost nothing for the past 4 days. Yes I'm worshipping the scale..blasted beast.

    I'm eating the right things...drinking enough water to float me away 24/7 and am just flat irritated at not being able to throw yet another pound in DH's face. Isn't that ugly? Okay..so I know it is, but dangit...he pegged me a failure before this ever began, so those little "witch" slaps give me this ooey gooey feeling inside.

    *sigh* Maybe it'll all hit at once and I'll wake up and my boobs will be gone! Now isn't THAT wishful thinking? LOL

    Niko, please don't be discouraged. You are setting yourself up for disappointment if you think it is unusual to go four days without weight loss. It would be great if the weight came off in a linear fashion, but it just doesn't. I only averaged a loss of between 1 and 2 pounds a week, and that included weeks when I didn't lose any. But those losses surely did add up.

    I know that it's hard to stay off the scale, but it really isn't the best gauge of fat loss, anyway. I always kept a pair of jeans that were too tight for me, and tried them on every week to 10 days. It was great to watch a pair of jeans that I couldn't button, become so big that I had to give them away. Now that's a gauge of fat loss!

      Hi im on extended induction and i found when i wasnt losing weight on the scale,my clothes were baggy and im totally convinced that i lose inches when the scale stops.

      i may be wrong but this is how i gauge it,i lose pounds then stall for a bit then lose inches.i also use ketostix which tells me daily im a fat burning machine lol.

      stay focused and everybody will help you.

      it is so true if the scale doesnt move:YOU ARE LOSING INCHES.

        Hi Niko! I had the same thing happen to me week 3; I didnt lose an ounce. I made sure my menu was within limits and took my measurements and I had lost inches. I just finished week 4 and I started losing again. So get that tape measure out!! Stick with it!
