  • Can Someone plz help

    Hi everyone...


    I've been doing Atkins on and off for about 2 yrs and I really think that I am doing it incorrectly, I read the book several times but I still cannot grasp the concept. I was wondering if someone could help me understand a little bit better. I think that if sum1 explains it I would understand better. So if there any 1 out there willing to help please do so

    Well really as I have learned from all the great people here and from the book I read prior to starting...

    1) All grains..,,,all carbs not on the allowed list and preferrably all sodas and artifical sweeteners are to be cut out for a minimum of two weeks.

    2) Depending on how much you need to loose, how well you do on induction and your ability to stick to it will determine how long you need to stay on induction. Minimum is two weeks.

    3) Fluid is extremely important through out...atleast 8, 8oz glasses of water...and avoid caffeine like the plague.

    4) For me keeping a diary of everything I put in my mouth keeps me on track, as does journaling

    5) Take a good multi vitamin with low iron, as you will be eating mainly proteins...

    There are more...but for those are the basics as I understand them. Be strong

                    I know it's cliche to ask, but do you have Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution, version 2002? You should really try to purchase that and read it, it very thoroughly details the plan.
