  • Induction flu in full effect,,,

Well thank you all for helping me get through yesterday. It was rough,,,,

Today though,,,,I feel like I have been beaten with a bat. Bloodpressue and pulse are fine so I knwo nothing else is wrong,,,,and I am clear headed...but my body is just blah. I feel like I have a hangover in essence and I dont want to go for my morning run. If I don't though I feel like I've failed and then.

I was planning on eating well as usual.,,,,and then making an attempt at a short walk tonight before bed.

When will this icky achy, tired feeling pass!! <tunes her violin>

oh! and the weird thing is I'm not hungry. At all. I know I Have to eat something though. Anybody ever get that way? It's not a not hungry from feeling blah,,,,it's just prior to atkins I would wake up with my stomach aching needing food and I am indifferent today, I am really not hungry.

Appetite suppression is a natural side-effect of ketosis. That's one of the things that makes Atkins so great - you don't feel (very) hungry!

This is a sign that you have entered ketosis - congratulations - you are now burning fat!

It will pass I promise. I am on day four and feel fabulous. I had a cold for the past three days so my misery from that masked any induction related stuff. Drink plenty of water, that helps a lot. And yes as you enter deeper ketosis hunger definitely subsides. Indifference is a great way to put it, and for many of us indifference towards food is an entirely new concept.

That was low blood sugar talking... Now your blood sugar will stabilize and you shouldn't ever have to wake up feeling that way again... (as long as you are on Atkins)

Yeah....and prior to Atkins I would wake up in the middle of the night sometimes sleep walking and eat in my sleep. I would wake up with chocolate on me.,,,or crumbs in the bed from something.

I pushed myself this morning and went for a 30 min easy pace walk around the mall and then cleaned the kitchen. I still feel like I let myself down, but it's something.

Actually I realized I am only on day 5 I thought it was day 6. I started last Saturday.....8 lbs down. I didnt lose anything yesterday.
