  • Almost lost it

Today was such a day. My youngest was hurt pretty badly at school and we ended up spending the majority of the day wondering if his back was broken. Thankfully, he lucked out there and ended up with messed up back muscles, but that's better than the alternative. Anyway, tonight I realized something about myself. As the adrenaline rush wore off, I basically said to heck with everything and nearly cheated...until the hubby told me to go ahead. Oh gosh...it was a sucker punch and I realized that I really *am* an emotional eater.

    That was an eye-opening revelation.

Btw, my bitty boy will be fine...he's on bedrest through the weekend and limited activity for a couple of weeks and I'm so thankful that he's alright.

You made it over a huge emotional hurdle. Be proud of yourself! You could have emotionally ate but chose not to.

Glad to hear the other great news that your son will be OK.

Good for you not to have cheated!

And glad to hear your son is okay too.

Oh goodness that is terrifying when they get hurt and you are not there! I almost fainted when I saw my son's broken arm when we got to the school.. his arm looked like a Gumby limb.

I am glad to hear he will be alright!

Glad your son is ok! How scary.

And good for you for being strong. Its hard in that kind of stressful situation to stop and think...and stop yourself. Good job.

Hope the weekend goes ok and he is feeling better.

          Take care.
