How many veggies am I supposed to have a day? 12-15 carbs worth or 2-3 cups? The Atkins website says 12-15 but then others say 2-3 cups... I'm confused. Also, are scallops allowed during induction?

We follow the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 Revised edition.

You start with net carbs approaching 20g per day during induction phase, and depending on your selection of vegetables, it could be 2 or 2 cups. You add more after this phase.

You should refer to the threads marked "sticky" in the forums.

      Re: Veggies

As susan said, on induction according to DANDR we can have up to 3 cups of vegetables from the 2 lists. Either 3 cups from the 'salad veggies' list or 2 cups from the 'salad veggies' and one cup from the 'other veggies' list.

Of the 'up to 20 net carbs' on induction you should be getting more than half from your veggies, so careful choices can mean you can also indulge in eggs, cream, cheese, sweetener as well!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
