I read a lot about FitDay, which I have used, but I find SparksPeople far superior. Is there anyone else who uses SparksPeople? If so, let's spread the Spark, if not, oh, boy, check it out! You'll be happily surprised!

    Hi Jeannette

I'm so glad that you've found a place that you like for food journaling! Journaling what we eat is such an important tool... no matter what WOE (way of eating) one chooses to follow, it has been shown that many of those who are most successful, are the ones who write/type what they eat daily.

While I've heard great things about SparksPeople, I'm going to have to stick with Fitday. I've been using it for years, and the overwhelming majority of my foods are entered as Custom Foods (even things like eggs)... it would take far too much time and energy for me to start over with that. But for those who haven't started yet and those who really can't stand Fitday, it is definitely a great option.

      Re: SparksPeople

I totally understand! I had a lot of food loaded into FitDay, but when I had to add coconut oil while SparksPeople already had it listed, I started to look a bit closer at SP. I really like their motivational articles (even though most of them are directed at low-fat, count your calories dieters). They offer great workout info, and you get "points" for logging your foods, water, signing in, and many more things which makes it just plain fun!

Even though you use and like FD, SP is worth a look if only for the exercise info!

I tried it and liked it too, especially the exercise and workout stuff but, like Mitzi, I found it easier to stick with fitday because I am so used to it it's quicker and has my custom stuff. I still pop in from time to time though

It's not about the results. Its about the process.
