You are in extended induction? Not OWL rung one?

If this is rung 1 OWL, then the menu is okay.

However, if you are on "extended" Induction, then you are eating too many vegetables. Remember, extending your Induction phase means you are still following the Induction Rules and still eating off the Induction Foods List. The amount of vegetables for Induction phase is 3 cups total: either 3 cups of the salad list OR 2 cups of the salad list and 1 cup of the other list. The faux mashed potatoes are made with cauliflower. Cauliflower, broccoli and tomatoes are "other list" vegetables.

By the way, we follow DANDR 2002 here on ADBB. Atkins.com has a totally different outlook on vegetables during Induction phase. The problem with their vegetable allotment is that it is possible to eat 15 net carbs of tomatoes or onions or some other high glycemic index veggie. That may interfere with your blood glucose and you may not lose weight/get into ketosis. In other words, it DOES matter what kind of vegetables you eat.

PS. Zucchini is also on the "other vegetable" list.
