IMHO, you have to want it enough to get over the cravings. That's all there is to it.

Just focus yourself on achieving your goal.

Also, try not to weigh yourself until after induction.

    What is your overall goal?

I agree, you really have to want it. Here is a quote that helps me when it gets hard. "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels"

You're talking a total of 30lbs, not 15, stop, and then 15 at a later date?

What happens on that third day? Excess hunger? Have you gotten all of the things you used to like to eat out of the house? Sometimes that helps you to get over the hump...

Or is it just that you are not willing to really really commit to wanting the loss more than the food at that moment. If that is the problem and the food wins, you need to convince yourself to commit or you will never get there. If you are hungry, eat - legally. If it is a matter of wanting that instant gratification, then the problem is your head, nit your stomach. I have been there many times. The committing is the hardest part.

The main thing is be determined and remember your gonna do this for yourself and if its the food that makes you break the diet this time go to the recipe section and try some different foods and test out the recipes always remember theres a solution to almost everything just focus on your 30lb goal!Good luck.

I agree with everything everyone has said, its willpower and mind over food. I have been there, many times. The easiest thing for me to do during the first week is eat more fat to satisfy your hunger. Keep legal food with you always and don't allow yourself to get hungry to the point you'd eat the proverbial cow. Small meals, spread out thru the day will keep your BS more stable. Get yourself into Ketosis and your hunger will subside. Repeat, failure is not an option when the cravings get rough. Drink alot of water, my goal for each day is 1 gallon. Most days, I am very close. Set a water goal and meet it. Cravings only last 20 minutes I read. Do something to get your mind off it. Carbs are not your friend..........

In the same vein as this advice, take a picture of yourself and put it on the fridge and/or in your purse. Stare real hard at it each time you feel like cheating and remind yourself why you want to change your life.

Also, some people find L-Glutamine helps with carb cravings.

Just checking back. The third day is usually the worst so hang in there and you should start to feel better on days 4 and 5.
