  • heavy cream?

I have a half litre of whipping cream that needs to be used today - does anyone have a suggestion of something to make with it?

    Thanks.

    Re: heavy cream?

Can't you whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks with a sweetener like splenda and then make drops on a cookie sheet and bake them. Kinda like Meringue Cookies.
    Thanks for all your support!!

I'm not a baker/chef/cook, but I don't think that will come out right. Aren't meringue cookies made with egg whites, or am I wayyyy of base??

          Re: heavy cream?

I make quiche for breakfasts. I base them on Linda's Broccoli Quiche recipe (I sub other things for the broccoli to change it up). They freeze faily well (a bit of liquid in the bottom of the dish upon defrost - doesn't bother me), make 6 servings and use 1c of whipped cream.

I've also made creamy cauliflower soup which takes a cup, but I don't know if it freezes well (recipe doesn't say).

I copied a recipe for pumpkin soup off of this board that uses 1c, but I haven't tried it yet.

PM me if you want any of these recipes.

Add splenda and vanilla, whip it, and eat the 20,000 calorie result!

Alfredo or other cream sauces are another option.
