  • CARB COUNT OF VEGGIES - where?

    hiya guys,

    is there anywhere in this forum where i can find the carb content of veggies? i just wanna 'up' my veggies intake, and im kinda tired of my salad veggies already. ive seen a sticky where it tells about the weight of veggies, but not the carb content. if there's a website that provides it, please share!

    like for example, bean sprouts....how much carb in a cup?

    oopps, speaking of bean sprouts, are MUNG BEANS allowed during induction? im trying to figure it out, since they're one and the same.....

    Nope, they are not allowed. The sprouts are significantly lower in carbs and have a lower glycemic index compared to the beans. 100 g of bean sprouts have 4 g net carbs; 100 g of mung beans have 47 g net carbs.

      I made that mistake on my first go at Atkins. I was mortified to find out how many carbs there are in mung beans!

        Georgiana - thanks for all the links! awesome!!! and, wow i didnt know that about mung beans - i was just wondering at first because it wasnt anywhere in the list.... good thing i asked first. thanks again!
