  • Tried something new today

I have been having a challenge getting my veggies in so today I started with them. I had 1.5 cups of romain, sprouts and mushroom to equal 2 cups with 1 TBLS of Italian dressing. Then to finish breakfast I had 4 eggs. At lunch I had 1 cup of spinach, 3 ounces of jack cheese and 3 oz of chicken.
The problem is I have been hungry and craving carbs all day. I have not had any cravings since day 2.
Yesterday was fine and nothing different on my menu.
I am drinking my water too, so it is not that.
I am on Day 8 and a very clean induction, had the Iflu the first two days.

Does anyone else experience this? Days of hunger and or cravings for carbs?

    Re: Tried something new today

Well, I'm a newbie to this site so not an expert by any means, but if I eat my veggies at any meal but dinner, I get cravings and eat more calories during the day than I would otherwise. I know the book says to split the veggies up so your sugar doesn't spike, but I can only eat straight fat & protein for breakfast and lunch or I will experience cravings and hunger during the day. I do have a great salad with veggies for dinner and that has worked for me so far. Interested to see what other say about this.

Yes, that happens to me. My diet is pretty standard (if not boring lol). I sometimes have pumpkin for breakfast..those days I find myself hungry quicker. Its as if it doesn't "stick" with me. I find adding some protein does help. I found a great sausage..no sugar..so usually have that and eggs for breakfast. Lunch is always a salad and some sort of meat. Then salad and another veggie or just salad with some sort of meat again at dinner.

I am not sure why I get cravings at times. I think I have to be careful with eating sweet things even if they are technically "legal". I wonder if it has to do with the amount of protein and/or fat?

Anything outside of the diet that has maybe changed? Stress, meds of any type, sleep?
