  • Day 5 of induction

    Hi,

Thanks to everyone on this forum for their encouragement and information.

Induction is amazing. For me I have absolutely no cravings to eat nor do I get much pleasure when i eat. I personally take this to be a great thing. On sugar/hi carb diets my eating habits were such that I was literally hungry all of the time. No wonder I could never control my weight. I no longer blame myself nor feel guily. It's like lifting a 10,000 lb gorilla off my back. I hope others here can relate to this.

I will be adding more later but again thanks.

PS My ketone strip is geting closer to purple and has been positive for each day I have been on it.

    Jeff

It looks as if you are off to a good start, Jeff

    Keep up the good work
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I am on day 5 of induction too. I can relate. I am no longer constantly obsessing over food and it feels great.

          Re: Day 5 of induction

          UPDATE:

yesterday was my last day of induction. I lost 6 lbs in two weeks and am very happy with the results.

So happy that I am going to stay on induction for a while. I feel great and my appetite is suppressed so I don't want to rock the boat.

I am going to go to Rung 1 within a couple of weeks as adding a bit more veggies seems like a good thing to try.

Thanks for everyone for all their support. I read so many other threads that inspired and informed me

I also finally have my wife believing that the diet works. I only worry that she wil put on my pounds eating all the fatty foods I cook for dinner.

Jeff, you are doing great but you should know that as long as the ketostrip has any color, the result is the same. If it is getting very purple that is a sign that you might not be drinking enough water. Pale is as good as deep purple and it doesn't relate to the amount you are losing at all.
