Ok, I know we are not supposed to have alcohol during induction, but tomorrow is a special case where I think I am going to need a drink or two. Any suggestions?? I have to be in the same room with my ex husband for about 3 hours while my son and his wife have their baby (C Section) and I HATE my ex. I've only been around him once in 10 years and that was at my sons wedding so really I had enough space to where it was such a big deal. At the hospital it is going to be grueling for me. I am sooooo going to need a bracer!!!!!
    Thanks for all your support!!

I wouldn't recommend it. If the nurses and staff smell alcohol on you, they could throw you out citing patient safety.

I think it would be better for you to concentrate more on your impending grandchild than on your hatred of your ex.

Damn, it's not like I would go up there drunk. I thought maybe a glass of wine or something like that. You have no idea of the abusive history with that man. It makes me sick being in the same room.

Do you have to sit in the waiting room with them for 3 hours? You could have hang out in the cafeteria or on the grounds (some hospitals have garden areas) until they've taken her to the delivery room. That way, you won't be stuck in the room with your ex the whole time.

If you mess with induction, you won't have a reliable guage to see how metabolically resistant you are, or a clear idea of where your CCLL is likely to be. Better to stick to induction faithfully for the two weeks.

Hopefully, it won't be as bad as you imagine. Try to ignore your ex and focus on the wonderful new member about to join to your family.
