  • How many grams in 1 cup of cabbage?

Does anyone know how to measure cups to grams? I have a scale and am on induction.

Measured raw, 1 cup of cabbage has about 3 net carbs.

You can use fitday.com, thedailyplate.com, calorieking.com, nutritiondata.com, just to name a few, to check the carbs in the foods you're eating.

Sheesh! Ignore my previous post. I'm not even on Rung 5 yet...

1 cup of cabbage is 91 grams. Again you can check this on the websites I mentioned before... but there's also a link somewhere around here. I'll be back with it...

For everyone wondering how to do this in general...

First check how many carbs a cup of that food has. You can do this in FitDay or another similar online tool. Then check how many carbs are in a certain amount (weight) of the food, let's say 100 grams to make it easy. Next take a calculator and multiply the number of carbs in 1 cup by 100, and then divide by the number of carbs in 100 grams --- what you'll get is the weight of 1 cup of that food.

For example, let's look at romaine lettuce. For the carb counts, I'm using fitday.com.

In one cup of shredded, raw romaine lettuce, there are 0.5 net carbs. In 100 grams of romaine lettuce, there are 1.2 net carbs. So to find how much a cup of romaine lettuce is in grams, you calculate
        0.5 x 100 / 1.2 = 41.67 grams
So one cup of romaine lettuce is about 42 grams.
