  • Health Assessment - Insurance website...

I just had to share...I just took a "Health Assessment" on my insurance's website...and while for the most part I'm doing very well - I answered totally honestly the question "How much dietary fat do you eat a day" and I put 5 - 6 times.

So "What I can do better"...one of the answers was, "Eat less dietary fat/cholesterol".

what a joke. just had to share. but then again - believe me - I know that insurance companies think that whole "low fat is the only way to go" dogma.

    I know better.

Re: Health Assessment - Insurance website...

I had the same quandary. I do like my insurance website though, if I log my food and activities they reward me with points toward gifts, like weights and Ipods etc.

However, our website also has a page explaining that lowcarb can be a useful, effective way to manage weight, if followed carefully and correctly. That was pretty cool.
