in my siggy below i have as the first pic what i looked like when i originally lost the weight on atkins. then i have my restart pic. thought maybe those close to goal could use it as a reminder that maitenece is by far the most important part. i am going to remember that this time back down to goal, for sure!

I completely agree with you. As I have said numerous times before, I lost all the weight on Atkins prior just by doing straight induction all the way to maintenance. It is such a bad idea. It takes longer to lose by not upping your carbs and it never teaches you your CCLL or what foods cause a bad reaction to you.
The pictures are a true motivator. It is awful to wake up one day and realized you gained it all back because you didn't do the diet properly. You just thought you did.

1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
what the rungs mean to me:
rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
rung 4 - berries, melon
rung 5 - wine -
rung 6 - beans, hummus
rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
(on to pre-maintenance)
