  • Ate too much meat, feeling stupid.

    I had far to much meat today and Im starting to feel guilty..
    I knew I wasn't COMPLETELY stuffed, so I just kept eating x.x
    Any way.. Its at the end of the day and I've eaten to much protein and nearly double the calories..
    Is there any way to pervert that whole 'extra protein into glucose' thing?
    And does it matter that ive had so many calories today?

    Could I do something to help myself?
    Like... Drink alot of water tonight?
    Ready for change

    The best thing to do is to continue with your planned eating and water and exercise as if you had not eaten too much meat

    The worst thing to do in my experience would be to panic and change your planned menus to try and 'make up' for the lapse. Sometimes it is normal to want to 'punish' ourselves for bad choices but it really serves no purpose and can often derail us!

      I had the same kind of day yesterday. Don't beat yourself up. I think mine was TOM related and I had too many sweeteners which I now think made me crave food all day (I seldom use sweeteners so this was unusual for me). Today, I got up, started a new day and am not going to let my behavior yesterday depress me into more bad behavior today.

            One day I had 9 carbs... the next day 27 carbs... I felt really bad about that, but the scale stayed the same on both days... Our bodies are adaptable... (thank goodness!) Just keep trying... that's all we can do
