  • I'm back! (picture heavy)

I just got back from Austria yesterday and boy did I have fun. I did something I never thought I could, I climbed not one but two mountains! OMG! I tried to stay on track as best I could but not speaking the language did get confusing. I learned the word for sugar and avoided it as much as possible. I think the last time I weighed in I was 174, this morning I was 173.3 so a small loose. I fill a lot smaller though so I have a feeling I gained muscle.

I did have so no-no items...when we were out climbing we came along some wild strawberries (tiny) and I had 6 and a nibble of one of my boyfriends store bought strawberries. I also snacked on hazelnuts on the way back home because I didn't have time to fix anything, but then again it was only like a hand full.

On the last night there my boyfriend took me to a restaurant and we ordered some typical Austrian meals. One was a pork-bread soup (which I did try), next there was this onion and cheese over egg noddle thing (this I only had one third of because the egg makes me feel sick), the dessert was a vanilla/raspberry/unsweetened whipped cream sundae (this I had 3 bites from). I figured that this was a one in a life time thing so I wanted to taste every thing.

Now I am back home and back on track. I want to give my body time to get back to normal (I am/was on my period most of the time there). Before I do an official weigh in.

    Now for the good part...PICTURES!

This is from last Saturday while we were waiting for the bus.

View from one of the mountains we were climbing.

Me next to a sign saying "Black Sea", it was a lake. This is also the day I got a sunburn... (Also a very unflattering angle)

Same day, going down the mountain.

    Me on the Switzerland/Austria boarder.

    Biking to Italy!

Everywhere we went was just so beautiful!

The town we were staying in from on half 1/3 of the way up a large hill.

I am sorry they are so big, I just really didn't want to lose quality.

PS: I had to poke a new whole into my belt while I was there...What a great feeling.

Oh, WOW! Those pictures are breathtaking--for real. The second one should be framed.

I think you did well on your trip. Your extra energy output climbing mountains probably burned off any glucose/glycogen from any extra carbs you ate.

You look great. Just get right back on track.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
