  • At what point do you go from water weight loss to fat?

I'm at my 3 week mark on Atkins- still staying in induction for awhile longer (I getting married in October so I'm extra motivated)! I'm down 9 pounds and wanted to know is this mostly still water weight or am I now losing actual fat? When do you stop losing the water weight? Thanks!

My stats- Female, 5'8 and started at 171 now 162

Once you start into ketosis (3 or 4 days in) you should start losing fat. Your water will continue to go up and down at times with TOM, sodium intake, workouts so you will see fluctuations on the scale at times but that doesn't mean you are gaining fat. Just a temporary water surge.

It's not about the results. Its about the process.
