  • living with a skinny person! lol

My husband has never had any trouble with his weight except for the fact he can eat whatever he wants and NEVER gain a pound. He is 6'2 and 125 pounds...itis kinda difficult to watch him eat all of the things that I know I cannot and should not have...however if my husband were to eat like me he might lose weight and he already is a walking skeleton.. he has always been skinny even when we were kids so I know it is just naturally the way his body is supposed to eb....he does not understand all of my weight struggles but at least he is being as supportive as possible about my diet!
Glad I have you guy who know what Im going through!

I'm glad that he is supportive. My husband is doing this with me - and it is very helpful (although he only needs to lose ~25lbs and I need to lose ~150). The guy who sits next to me at work eats all day! He is a tall skinny man - I don't know how - he eats chips, chocolate, you name it, all day, every day!

When those cookies/banana bread, etc on his desk start tempting me, I log on here.

I not only married a man like that, I bore two children just like him. Actually, that is as bad as those of us that weigh way too much, even if we ate exactly what they do. My husband and kids had to eat way more than they wanted and drink high calorie protein shakes just to be still way too skinny. My son used to drink weight-gaining shakes that contained 1,800 calories PER SERVING.

That still doesn't mean that I have to like it! Or them all the time!

I attend a Sunday School class with about 40 people in attendance. We take turns bring breakfast treats. There is usually things like donuts, brownies or cupcakes, ham or sausage biscuits and breakfast casseroles and quiche.

There is one guy there, an engineer, about 40 years old, who is small and very skinny. He decides where he will sit based on which table holds the most and best food. We are in class for about an hour. He never stops eating. Sometimes it is hard to pay attention to the lesson for watching this guy eat his way through trays of food. I wouldn't want to have his food bill at home.

6'2" and 125? His BMI is off the chart (16). I can't imagine what a 6'2" 125# man would look like.

I know how you feel. I have been living with my boyfriend for almost 3 years now, and he eats some much junk food it makes me sick just watching it. He is 6'1 and 156lbs. He is trying to get to 180lbs and gain muscle but it never works. He hasn't gained anything since we moved in together were as I gained 50lbs :P. He eats pizza and chocolate bars, weight gain drinks...the list goes on. Oh well I love him even though he is boney.

My husband has lost a ton of weight over the last few years (he keeps theorizing it's a tapeworm ), and it's extremely frustrating, even now that I'm losing. Well, it would be frustrating if he wasn't so supportive and positive about my choice to do Atkins. I can still be secretly jealous of him, though!

my 1st husband was 6'1 and weighed 115 -- he ate from the time he got up until he laid down at night and never gained weight. After we got divorced and after a few years he started gaining but still is too thin. He has been to nutritionists, doctors, you name it -- he just can't keep weight on his frame. I told him the last time I saw him I would be more than happy to pack up a bag of my weight and send it to him...lol

well I have a brother who eats whatever he wants all the time and he eats alot more than most people I know. I see him eat a packet of cookies at once or a whole entire large pizza or bring up a few snacks whenever he pleases and just eats them and he has been underweight his whole life by a good bit I would say. Just have to remain discipline.

Also really have never seen my brother ever exercise.

LOL Thanks, these stories make me feel better. My hubby isn't very tall but is also the type that can eat whatever he wants and not gain weight. He also doesn't care if he misses a meal. He is in the military so I guess that is good at times.
