  • ~~Skin~~ icky

OK..I think this is an issue anyone...especially those of us that have 100 plus lbs to lose.

I have lost just about 35 lbs. Which isnt a tremendous amount, but I have noticed in the areas I am training hardest....my legs..and tummy are doing this icky poo loose skin thing. i.e....sorry to be gross but its hanging. Theres no other way to put it.

Has anyone had this going on....am I imagining this.....if you have had it....how are you dealing with it. Its going to be weird to lose a 150 lbs or so....and look like a deflated balloon...whch is what I feel like with my thighs right now...like they are shrinking faster than the skin can catch up with...

I've heard that it takes up to a year for skin to shrink back after weight loss...not something I'm looking forward to! SarinaD posted a reply to a similar question a week or two ago - she had some tips about creams & home-made concoctions (sp?) that are supposed to help...I'll post the link here if I can find it.
Here's the link: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...belly-fat.html Sarina's reply is about the 5th.

I am looking to lose 150+ pounds, 42 so far. At the moment, I don't have any "loose" skin, but my tummy & thighs look like they're made of lumps of cottage cheese That post's been on my mind!

I have read that it takes the skin a little longer to catch up with the rest. All I can say is keep at it, drink lots of water, and keep the skin healthy and moisturized. I have lost in total (since my heaviest) about 45lbs but it has been a long process (1,5 years) so I don't really see sagging yet, but I am sure I will since I have started losing more rapidly after joining Adkins.

Honestly I would rather be a deflated balloon and healthy then obese and slowly dying.

Keep with it, it is so worth it.
