You might want to see a doctor about this to make sure it really is fungus/yeast.

I'm not a big believer in Doctors. They are the reason I got this way. They don't know everything. If you have med insurance then by all means go because the doctor can give you Nystatin and that stuff is worth it's weight in GOLD for curing that rash. If you don't then you need to look to the Candida section of this blog.

PS... I've got the Droopin too and it means we need to exercise.....

2 b Perfectly honest, I'm not go n 2 the Dr., unless it gets much, worse...it looks worse than ne thing....It's very red...doesn't hurt r itch...It has been very hot & humid here in southern LA, so I think I made a big mistake by using the dusting powder that goes with my perfume....I really think that cld also b part of it...4 now, I'm keepn it clean AND......DRY.....I was told by a dear friend 2 try Tinactin r other "fat roll", (yes, that's written on the can) powder sold over the counter.....I do want 2 once again thank all of u 4 your advice.......me

LA as in Louisiana? If so, I feel your pain on the heat and humidity! It's unreal right now. How long has the rash been there? Also, if you don't mind my asking, what are your starting, current, and goal weights?

                Start date: 03/14/09
                Goal #1 - 260 - Met 04/12/09! Goal #4 - 230 - Met 08/03/09!
                Goal #2 - 250 - Met 05/22/09! Goal #5 - 220 - Met 01/29/10 FINALLY!
                Goal #3 - 240 - Met 06/20/09! Goal #6 - 210

                  Re: yeast or fungal?!?!?!

Talc (baby powder) will help keep it dry. I use it when it is hot/humid to keep dry where skin touches skin. Are you sure it isn't a heat rash? If it is, hydracortisone (sp?) cream cures it nicely. If it is yeast/fungus though, be careful what you treat it with-you don't want to feed it I agree that keeping it clean & dry should help.

update..........well the redness is gone after 2 days of using Zeasorb-AF (Miconazole Nitrate 2 percent) Super Arsorbent Antifungal Powder. Now it's just this ugly dark color skin, like a scar...I will continue with this...I'm having Lasik Eye Surgery Tues, 21st, so I'm somewhat nervous & can't be bothered w/this....I also have a prescription ointment called "Desonide Cream", 0.05percent.....this is a steroid cream....it does seem VERY dry, but as long as it continues a what I think is good course, I'll keep using the powder.....if I see it gets worse, then I'll go into Dermatitis Dr....will keep n4md.....thanks again 4 all the support.......Me
