Ok - so one thing i've been realllly missing lately is a nice crunchy cracker...
and while I really like making my own foods - i've been too lazy to make my own crackers - lol.
So at one of the health food stores here in Indy today (Georgetown Market for anyone around Indy)...I saw "Golden Flax Crackers"...they're a LITTLE pricey at $5-sumthin per 4 oz bag...but SO worth it!
I came home and had a few crackers with my home made guacamole...MMMM!
ingredients: Golden Flaxseed, Bragg Liuquid Aminos (a non-GMO wheat-free soy sauce) & Lemon Juice.
5 crackers is a serving
150 calories
9 g fat
5g polyunsaturated
2g monounsaturated
11g carbs
11g fiber
6g protein
(btw, the hidden carb calculator confirmed this...it came out to 11.25 g carbs per the hidden carb calc.)
PLUS being flax - it's got omega 3/6/9.
They're FABULOUS!
I saw online you can get em' off amazon - the website I found is:
Foods Alive
Just wanted to share!
Now - from the few I just had - I think you DEFINTELY have to have something on them - such as guac or some sort of dip...but they are SO good and crunchy and just awesome!
There's also a Maple & Cinnamon version - but I was good and didn't get those since it's got maple syrup...
lol - but they have some other flavors too.
