  • Metablosim question

Say if you sleep in really late. Will this make your metabolism slower? I have to break this chain of over sleeping. It does not seem to interupt my metabolism but it also may

      Re: Metablosim question

Sleeping late is a habit, in part. If you get yourself out of the habit your body will start to respond to the new sleep pattern. Exercise helps too. It raises your metabolism and generally makes you feel more alert. When you have exercised each day you tend to have a deeper and more restful sleep at night. Oversleeping is also a sign of depression (not saying this is you). Getting up and exercising can help turn that around too. The endorphins make you feel better all day.

        Re: Metablosim question

I set my alarm even on weekends so I get up close to the same time each day of the week (I do sleep in a little on weekends but not like I use to). I find since I've been on Atkins I wake up earlier than I normally would and feel better. I use the extra morning time to get my exercise done. I get up, eat breakfast and about an hour later I get on my bike and by noon I've riden 25 miles.
